Whole Mindset Coaching & Education

Whole Mindset addresses the whole individual through coaching, workshops, courses, and more.

Whole Mindset is a coaching company rooted in education. My name is Dru, and I began this journey as a teacher. Now I offer coaching and education to parents, teens, and young adults. Whether you are looking to support your teen through a big life change, college essay writing, or the move into adulthood, I can help. Whole Mindset also supports parents who want to be the best they can be for themselves and their children.

Teen Coaching

Your teen is facing more pressure than ever—academic stress, social dynamics, college decisions, and the constant question of who they’re becoming. They need support, but traditional therapy isn’t always the right fit.

That’s where teen coaching comes in. I help teens build confidence, resilience, and the practical skills they need to thrive. Using The WHOLE Methodâ„¢, we address what matters most to your teen: developing genuine self-worth, managing anxiety and overwhelm, improving executive function skills, setting and achieving meaningful goals, or navigating the transition to college and adulthood.

This isn’t therapy—I’m not diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. Think of me as your teen’s personal strategist and advocate, someone who creates a judgment-free space where they can be honest, explore who they want to become, and develop tools that actually work.

What makes this effective: Your teen leads the conversation. We focus on their goals, their challenges, their vision. When teens feel heard and empowered—not lectured—real change happens.

Parent Coaching

Parenting is the most important work you’ll ever do—and often the most overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating the elementary years, surviving middle school chaos, or launching a young adult into the world, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I coach parents of children from elementary age through adulthood who want to parent with intention, not just reaction. Together we work on strengthening communication with your child, building their confidence and growth mindset, setting effective boundaries, managing your own stress and triggers, navigating tough transitions, and creating the family dynamic you actually want—not just surviving day-to-day.

This isn’t parenting advice or judgment about what you’re doing wrong. Think of me as your thinking partner—someone who helps you clarify what matters most to YOUR family and develop strategies that actually work for your unique situation.

What makes this effective: We focus on your goals, your challenges, your family. You get honest support, practical tools, and someone who believes you’re the expert on your own child.

College & Career Prep

Your teen is facing one of life’s biggest decisions: what comes after high school? Whether they’re college-bound, considering a gap year, exploring trade schools, or pursuing entrepreneurship, they need clarity and a plan—not just pressure.

I help high school students ages 15-18 navigate their post-graduation path with confidence. For college-bound students, we work on crafting authentic application essays, identifying the right-fit schools, and developing a strategic application timeline. For students choosing alternative paths, we explore vocational training, gap year planning, work opportunities, and how to build a successful future without a traditional degree.

This isn’t generic college counseling. I help your teen discover what THEY actually want—not what everyone expects—and create a concrete plan to get there. We focus on their strengths, values, and goals to make decisions they feel good about.

What you get: Strategic guidance, accountability, and someone who believes in multiple pathways to success. Your teen deserves support that honors their unique journey, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whole-Self Coaching Program

Real, lasting change doesn’t happen in quick fixes or surface-level strategies. It requires going deeper—uncovering the root beliefs, patterns, and narratives that drive behavior and hold us back from becoming who we’re meant to be.

The Whole-Self Coaching Program is a longer-term commitment designed for teens, young adults, and parents ready to do transformative work. Using The WHOLE Methodâ„¢, we don’t just address symptoms—we dig into the underlying causes of anxiety, low confidence, self-sabotage, or feeling stuck. We work from the inside out: building authentic self-worth, shifting limiting beliefs, developing emotional intelligence, and creating sustainable habits that align with who you truly are.

This isn’t a quick program with a checklist of outcomes. This is deep, intentional work that takes time, trust, and commitment. You will be challenged to think differently, show up honestly, and invest in your own growth.

What you get: A partnership focused on genuine transformation, not temporary solutions. You develop the self-awareness, resilience, and inner strength that will serve you for life.

Self-Paced Courses

Sometimes you need expert guidance but don’t have the time or budget for one-on-one coaching. That’s where self-paced courses come in—practical, affordable resources you can use on your own schedule.

Self-paced courses are designed for both parents and teens who want to build specific skills or tackle particular challenges without the commitment of ongoing coaching. Learn strategies for building confidence, managing stress and anxiety, improving organization and time management, setting meaningful goals, navigating difficult conversations, or developing a growth mindset—all at your own pace.

Each course includes interactive lessons, workbooks, reflection prompts, and actionable strategies you can implement immediately. Revisit lessons as often as you need.

What you get: Expert guidance without the price tag of coaching, lifetime access to course materials, and practical tools that create real change.

Perfect for: Families who want quality support on a budget, self-directed learners, or anyone testing whether coaching might be the next step.

Pop-Up Groups

Looking for focused support on a specific challenge without a long-term commitment? Pop-Up Groups are small, topic-focused 6-week cohorts that address what families need right now.

These groups change frequently based on current needs and seasons. One pop-up group might focus on parent communication strategies, another on helping teens write authentic college essays, and the next on building tween confidence or navigating the middle school years. Each group is designed to tackle one specific challenge with actionable strategies you can implement immediately.

Pop-Up Groups are limited to 6 participants, creating an intimate space for meaningful connection, personalized support, and real conversation. Whether you’re a parent seeking community and expert guidance or a teen working alongside peers facing similar challenges, these groups offer targeted support without the investment of ongoing coaching.

What you get: Expert facilitation, small group attention, practical tools, and peer support—all focused on one topic for six weeks.

How it works: New groups launch throughout the year. Check current offerings and join the one that fits your needs right now.

My name is Dru Cartier, founder of Whole Mindset. I began my career as an English teacher, but quickly realized there was a dire need for more intentional social-emotional learning, it was as though half of the students’ needs weren’t being fulfilled. Unsure of how to provide that, I decided to become a therapist for teens. Yet, now I felt half empty not being able to teach them. Toward the end of my Master’s Degree in Adolescent Developmental Counseling, I realized that as a coach I would have the flexibility to meet the needs of my desired population while still being able to infuse educational components — And Whole Mindset was born.

Instead of getting licensed as a therapist, I became an ICF-certified Teen Resilience Coach. I combine this training with my educational background to create resources for teens and young adults that address them as whole individuals. I also coach parents on ways to navigate teen life and beyond.

“Dru is fantastic! She helped restore my child’s confidence after being bullied at school. She’s so understanding that my daughter looks forward to her classes every week!!”
